This beautiful couple shared their wedding day with friends and family in a simple remote setting in the countryside of NC. Their decor was gorgeous, rustic, and a perfect representation of the two of them!
Casey and Pete were married in Hiddenite, NC, a town that I had yet to hear of until I spoke with Casey. It’s a quaint country town with farm fields, a river, and wide open spaces. Casey’s choice for decor, attire, and venue were a perfect fit for both the rural area, and Casey and Pete’s personalities.
When I arrived for the wedding I pulled into a farm field to park. At the other end of the field was a simple pavilion that was decorated with rustic decor and bright yellow accents. Next to the pavilion was a beautiful ceremony set up along the creek. It was ready for the soon to be married couple complete with white chairs and a white arbor decorated with vines and flowers.
After I wandered around the property for a few minutes to check out photo locations guests began to arrive. They were casually dressed in jeans and blazers, and sun dresses. They all definitely got the memo of how to fit into the day!
Soon the ceremony was starting. I looked up to see the groomsmen huddled off to the side and a black limousine pulling through the field. Casey and her girls were all in the limo ready to get started. Pete and the officiant took their places in front. The guys and girls then started down the aisle to their assigned spots. Next came Casey with her brother. As soon as Pete saw Casey he had the sweetest grin on his face, and as I turned to get a shot of Casey and her brother, Casey was beaming with excitement! I love seeing and capturing the expressions of the bride and groom during their big moments! The ceremony continued with well wishes, vows, and a sweet message to Casey’s daughter who was a bridesmaid.
Immediately following the ceremony we took family photos and then moved on to wedding party photos. This large crew of friends and family that stood up with Casey and Pete did an excellent job for photos! They were excited to have fun throughout the process and we got some great shots! We finished up with photos of Pete and Casey alone before they were announced at the reception.
At the reception guests shared a meal, dancing, toasts, delicious cake, and a few drinks from the bar. Casey and Pete ended the evening with a campfire surrounded by family and friends. This was a perfect ending to their perfect day.
Casey and Pete did a phenomenal job planning their day. It was simple, gorgeous, relaxed, and fun! Thank you for asking me to capture your big day!
